My name is Rachel Lyle, Research Manager at Institute for the Future. For the past year, we've been following your blog closely as we work on a project on the future of caring and caregiving, and this blog post about the need for stories that affirm caring as worthwhile inspired me to post about a project we're doing, called Ruby's Bequest; we're calling it collaborative storytelling for the social good.

Ruby's Bequest is a story about the town of Deepwell,* but we hope it will spur a larger conversation about caring and caregiving among people like you all who are engaged in this space and also for those who encounter it as a daily reality.

If you'd like to find out more, please feel free to be in touch!: http://rubysbequest.org/ Thanks!

*Don’t search for Deepwell on any map: you won’t find it. The town, its residents and Ruby’s unusual bequest are all part of a unique immersive experience in which thousands of people are helping forecast the future of caring in the United States. The Institute For The Future is conducting this innovative narrative on behalf of United Cerebral Palsy and AARP, and anyone can participate simply by applying their own wisdom and knowledge to Deepwell’s dilemmas via email or phone.
